Bondi Community

Bondi Pavilion contributes to the Bondi & Bondi Beach community offering a theatre, gallery space, meeting & functions rooms, art workshop, pottery and art studios. The Bondi Pavilion is also a centre for major festivals and performances throughout the year. Festivals include, South American, Afro Latin, Carols by the Sea, to name but a few. The Theatre is booked throughout the year including the international Flickerfest film festival. Check out what's on this month at the Bondi Pavilion.

Festival of the Winds - Bondi Beach - Don't miss out on this wonderful event at Bondi Beach. The Festival of the Winds starts at 11.00am through to 5.00pm on Sunday September 12th. So go fly a kite! its FREE too! If you have any further questions re this event the Australian Kiteflyers are the people to speak with.

Sculpture By the Sea - held each year, late October - early November, along the Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk. This exhibition attracts over 300,000 visitors each year.

City to Surf - Sunday August 8th, 2004
The annual city to surf (14km) is held each year in August. One of the largest fun runs in the world, the City to Surf starts at Hyde Park area and finishes at Bondi Beach. You can find information on the City to surf here.

Bondi Open Air Cinema - Bondi Pavilion
Bondi Openair Cinema is located at the Amphitheatre of the Bondi Pavilion, at Bondi Beach. The Open Air Cinema will be reopening for the summer months. Movies under the stars!

The Bondi View is a community newspaper for the Eastern suburbs and is an independent newspaper. It is published every month with a distribution of around 43,000, for the Bondi Beach, Bondi, Bondi Junction, Dover Heights, Waverley, Tamarama, Clovelly and Coogee areas. The Bondi View provides a voice for locals, Waverley Council, Randwick Council and businesses alike. You can even have this delivered to your letterbox wherever you are in the world! how's that for service.

Flickerfest Short Film Festival - Short Film Festival held each year in January at the Bondi Pavilion.

Bondi Short Film Festival- Short Films screened at Bondi Pavilion end of November annually.

Dharma Shala Bondi Yoga School - located at North Bondi on Brighton Boulevard, this is my local yoga haunt. The lovely Deb & Rick will guide you through your sun salutations, your downward dog, through to savasana. They teach traditional Hatha Yoga within a nurturing spiritual space, cultivating peace and stillness to encourage a deeper understanding of the true self.

Sheree Swords Photography - I will be shooting in the Bronte / Bondi / Tamarama / Cliff area every Saturday and Sunday - sunrise till sunset.
